Aya Gordon Noy
An illustrator, living and working in Israel. I graduated in visual communication from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem. After a few years working as a designer I returned to my first true love: illustration. I mainly illustrate picture books but also magazines, products, exhibitions, etc.
My Work
My work allows me to experiment with new materials and techniques. It lets me improvise and play with stories and characters. When receiving a new brief, I search for its unique language so as to convey the story accurately. This can be done through objects, textures or techniques. I'm curious to research and examine new ways therefore I never know ahead of time where the project will take me.
My Studio
My studio is located in Ein Hod, an artist village. There, I live with my husband, four charming children, adorable dogs and one annoying cat. I love collecting old objects that I find on the streets, these stimulate me to create. My studio is big enough to include all my collections, my objects, textures, colors and stories.
